So, it's been almost 4 years since this...
I'm pretty sure Zidane settled whatever the argument was right then and there by the looks of the headbutt, but Zidane and Materazzi are still going at it.
Materazzi had mentioned to the media a few months back that Zidane owes him an apology and that he's never gotten it.
Zidane? Apologizing? Unlikely. In fact, Zidane put the kibosh on any idea of him ever apologizing, EVER. Said Zidane, "Never, Never...It would dishonor me...I'd rather die." To the millions of kiddies reading this out there, I don't condone Zidane's actions (I repeat, I don't condone his actions), but Marco, you cost him the Cup on the world's biggest stage with over a billion watching. No apology, however, I'm sure he'd love to play bloody foreheads with you sometime if you were ever up to it...
Oh, and for some more gratuitous soccer violence you can try on Eric Cantona for size (somebody please get that joke) and revel in the ugly side of women's soccer.
